Director Chidambaram’s ‘Balan: The Boy’ continues to maintain a consistent run at the box office. The emotional drama has managed to hold its ground during the weekdays, recording only a marginal decline in collections.According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 45 lakhs (India net) on Day 12. The latest figure represents a 2.2 per cent drop compared to the Rs 46 lakhs earned on Day 11.

Worldwide gross touches Rs 30.24 crore

‘Balan: The Boy’ has now taken its total India net collection to Rs 16.43 crore. The film’s India gross collection now stands at Rs 19.04 crore.The thriller added an estimated Rs 10 lakhs gross on Day 12, pushing the film’s overseas gross total to Rs 11.20 crore.’Balan’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 30.24 crore. The emotional drama had earlier wrapped up its first week with an estimated Rs 11.29 crore India net and has maintained a stable trend during its second week.

Occupancy rates for ‘Balan’

The original Malayalam version of ‘Balan: The Boy’ recorded an overall occupancy of 20.90 per cent on Day 12.Morning shows registered an occupancy of 10.58 per cent, while afternoon shows improved to 12.92 per cent. Evening shows recorded 15.17 per cent occupancy. Night shows once again emerged as the strongest performer with 25.58 per cent, suggesting that evening audiences continue to support the film.Kerala generated approximately Rs 44 lakhs gross and Karnataka added around Rs 5 lakhs while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and the remaining markets contributed approximately Rs 1 lakhs on day 12.
