DCP Trans-Hindon Nimish Patil suspended four policemen for partying at a criminal’s birthday bash. A departmental probe and CCTV examination are underway.

Four policemen, including the in-charge of the Sahibabad border outpost, were suspended after a video of them dancing at a history sheeter’s birthday party went viral. The 22-second video clip, recorded on Monday, shows the cops grooving while holding alcohol in hand.

The incident took place in the Sahibabad police station limits, under the Seemapuri outpost. As per a report by India Today, these cops were attending the birthday party of history-sheeter Irshad Malik at “Rose Bar” in Sahibabad.

Taking action on the purpoted video, DCP Nimish Patil ordered immediate suspension of the cops and an inquiry has been initiated. As per the officials, the CCTV footage from the bar is also being examined for more precise details related to the matter.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Patel said that the three constables were clearly visible in the CCTV footage, while the sub-inspector was not seen. However, more CCTVs are being scanned to get a clear image.
