Nanang Sigit, who is leading the rescue mission, told AP that oxygen and water are being delivered to those still trapped beneath the rubble in hopes of keeping them alive. He added that rescuers have seen multiple bodies but are prioritizing saving those still showing signs of life.
Hundreds of rescue personnel, equipped with specialised gear including breathing apparatuses and medical evacuation tools, are working continuously in the search for survivors and victims.
