Shooting at North Carolina, 3 killed

The Michigan attack came just hours after another shooting in Southport, North Carolina, where three people were killed and five injured.

Police called that incident a “highly premeditated” attack. Southport police chief Todd Coring said a man named Nigel Edge from Oak Island was arrested for firing from a boat into a crowd at American Fish Company on Saturday night. The shooting began around 9:30 pm along a busy strip of bars and restaurants in the historic port town.

Investigators said Edge pulled his boat close to shore, stopped briefly, opened fire, and sped away.
