A woman who accused self-styled godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati of molestation back in 2016 has described him as having “vulture-like eyes,” recounting a period she called the most distressing of her life.

The 62-year-old, also known as Swami Parthasarathy, is currently facing allegations of sexually harassing 17 students at his private management institute in southwest Delhi’s Vasant Kunj.

According to her 2016 FIR, the complainant—then a 20-year-old student—said she left the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management within eight months of joining because of his repeated harassment.

“As soon as I joined, Baba began sending obscene messages, calling me ‘baby’ and ‘sweet girl.’ After classes ended around 6:30 pm, he would summon me to his office and harass me,” she stated in her complaint.

The woman alleged Chaitanyananda tried to lure her with promises of funding her higher education in Dubai, saying she was “very talented.”

She claimed his staff pressured her to comply while he seized her mobile phone, isolated her in the hostel, and frequently called her on the room’s landline.

“He would even talk about taking me out to dinner and staying in fancy hotels. I was terrified,” she recalled, adding that he attempted to touch her inappropriately and invited her to travel with him to Mathura.

Fearing for her safety, she said she fled the hostel overnight, abandoning her belongings.

She alleged that his followers later turned up at her home, armed with her contact details, until her father intervened and drove them away.

Police records show Chaitanyananda had earlier faced molestation complaints in 2009 and 2016, allegedly evading action through his influence.

In the current case, 17 women lodged complaints in Delhi in early August. He was initially believed to be in London, but investigators later traced him to Agra.

Chaitanyananda briefly sought anticipatory bail from the Delhi High Court before withdrawing his plea.

Since then, Delhi Police have launched searches across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, and issued a Lookout Circular to prevent him from fleeing the country. He remains untraceable.
