Natasha Poonawalla, often hailed as fashion’s undisputed queen of maximalism, is once again proving why her style is in a league of its own. This time, she stepped out in a rare archival treasure, Chanel’s “Miami Vice” pistol heels from the 2009 Cruise line, a bold creation born from the French house’s collaboration with bespoke shoemaker Massaro. Natasha opted for the black pair, styling them with a glittering sequined dress layered under a dramatic cape from The Row, and finished the look with a sleek Valentino handbag.

Sharing moments from the evening on Instagram, Natasha revealed she had attended a gala hosted by her close friend Natalia Vodianova and Sheikha Al Mayassa, held in partnership with PSG and the Naked Heart Foundation. In her caption, she wrote: “The evening wasn’t just about glamour, it was about generosity, awareness, and hope. The Naked Heart Foundation does incredible work supporting children with autism and their families, creating inclusive opportunities, and spreading understanding worldwide.”

Married to billionaire Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India, Natasha has built her reputation as a fearless fashion force, someone who seamlessly blurs the lines between couture and art. Known for appearances that stop the style world in its tracks, she once told Vogue India (2021) that her boundary-pushing looks often leave people puzzled. “Often people couldn’t understand what I was wearing. They’d say, ‘What’s that? A dish antenna?’ My husband has always said, ‘If you love it, do it.’ If you’re comfortable being ridiculously dressed, how does it matter to anybody else?”

Her past Met Gala turns underline her risk-taking spirit. In 2022, she commanded attention in a gold tulle saree by Sabyasachi, paired with a hand-sculpted metal bustier by Schiaparelli. Interpreting the theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” in her signature avant-garde style, she topped it off with a metallic headpiece that encased both her head and torso, cementing her status as one of the event’s most unforgettable attendees.
