Greater Noida is expected to face significant traffic disruptions today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the third edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 at the India Expo Centre & Mart.

The five-day event, taking place from September 25 to 29, will host global industry leaders, with Russia as the partner country. The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police have issued a traffic advisory to help commuters manage the anticipated congestion.

The UP International Trade Show is the flagship B2B and B2C event of the Uttar Pradesh Government. It showcases the state’s industrial progress and provides a platform for startups, exporters, and entrepreneurs to build partnerships and explore trade opportunities.

The event, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, other ministers, and prominent business leaders, is likely to attract large crowds, resulting in major traffic restrictions across Greater Noida.

Traffic Advisory

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police have issued comprehensive guidelines for commuters and event attendees:

VIP Entry: VIP cardholders will enter via Gate No. 1 and park at Stellar Gymkhana.

General Visitors: Gates 3 to 6 will lead to drop-off areas, with parking at the NASA roundabout. General visitors and police staff will park at the NASA/Bada roundabout, which accommodates 8,000–10,000 vehicles.

Media Access: Media personnel with ‘P’ passes will enter via Gate No. 5.

International Visitors/Delegates: Drop-off allowed at the roundabout near Gate No. 01 or 02, then proceed to designated parking via the double service road.

Route Access: Vehicles coming from the direction of Expo Mart, Greater Noida, should use Gate No. 01 or 02 near the main entrance. Vehicles via Gate No. 03 or 04 should follow designated routes to drop-off points, then proceed to parking areas.

Authorities have further advised people to use metro services, plan journeys in advance, and allow extra travel time.

The restrictions are due to the high-profile nature of the event and the large attendance expected. The UP International Trade Show reflects India’s economic initiatives such as Make in India, Vocal for Local, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, highlighting progress in manufacturing, technology, handicrafts, agriculture, and other sectors. With Russia as the partner country, the event will also emphasise opportunities for global trade collaboration.

Routes to Avoid

Commuters are advised to avoid roads around the India Expo Centre & Mart, especially near Gates 1 to 6, NASA roundabout, and Bada roundabout. Traffic congestion is expected throughout the day due to VIP movement and large crowds attending the trade show.
