Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar’s family has a new reason to celebrate. Her elder daughter, Avantika Sundar, married Shravan Sreenivasan in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Goa on Thursday evening. The private affair was attended by family members and a close-knit circle of friends from the Indian film industry.Making the happy announcement on social media, Khushbu shared the first photographs from the wedding along with an emotional note, saying the family was “speechless” as they witnessed their daughter begin a new chapter.The wedding pictures captured several touching moments from the ceremony. One photograph showed Avantika and Shravan holding hands in traditional silk attire, while another monochrome image featured the groom kissing his bride on the forehead after the rituals. Khushbu also posted a family portrait with husband and filmmaker Sundar C, younger daughter Anandita, the newlyweds and their pet. While Avantika chose a pastel pink ensemble for the ceremony, Shravan and the rest of the family were dressed in coordinated gold outfits.
Khushbu pens an emotional message
Sharing the news, Khushbu wrote that the occasion was one filled with gratitude and overwhelming emotions.”We are truly speechless at this moment, for words seem inadequate to express the emotions we are experiencing,” she wrote.The actor added that family has always been central to their lives and that they have long believed “marriages are made in heaven.”Announcing the wedding, she wrote, “With immense joy and gratitude, we, Sundar C and Kushboo Sundar, are delighted to share the wonderful news that our beloved daughter, Ms. Avantika Sundar, was married to Mr. Shravan Sreenivasan on 25th June 2026.”Reflecting on the ceremony, she said, “Surrounded by the love of family and close friends, we witnessed a moment that will remain etched in our hearts forever. The warmth, affection, and goodwill that enveloped us made the occasion truly magical. Our eyes are still moist, and our hearts are overflowing with happiness and gratitude.”Khushbu revealed that the wedding was deliberately kept intimate, in line with the couple’s wishes.”It was a small and intimate celebration, exactly as the couple envisioned, and we were honoured to fulfil their wishes. Star-studded guest list
Although the wedding was a private affair, it witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities from the entertainment industry. Trisha Krishnan, a close friend of Khushbu, attended the ceremony along with guests from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries.Among those present were Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, who attended with their wives. Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor were also seen at the celebrations. Khushbu had also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.
