The first-of-its-kind launch carried out today from a specially designed rail-based Mobile Launcher can move on the Rail network without any preconditions, which allows the user to have cross-country mobility and launch within a short reaction time with reduced visibility.

Singh further congratulated @DRDO_India, Strategic Forces Command (SFC) and the Armed Forces on the successful test of the Intermediate Range Agni-Prime missile, noting that the test has placed India among a select group of nations capable of launching canisterised missiles from a rail-mobile system.

The Agni-Prime is part of India’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its deterrence and enhance the mobility of its missile systems.
