Esha Deol has spoken about separation, heartbreak and navigating life’s most personal decisions, saying she prefers to trust her own judgment and believes every experience, including mistakes, helps a person grow stronger.During a conversation with Curly Tales, Esha reflected on how she approaches major life choices, including relationships.“When it comes to decisions, I don’t take others’ opinions. I like to take my own decisions because tomorrow, if it is right or wrong, I won’t hold anyone else responsible for it. Be it films or a boyfriend. Mistakes happen. They just make you stronger and you learn from your mistakes,” she said.

‘It’s between two individuals’

The actress, who announced her separation from businessman husband Bharat Takhtani in 2024, described such situations as deeply personal and sensitive, especially when children are involved.“That is something very personal. It’s between two individuals. Being in the profession that we are in, it is open to the public. I’m not the kind of person, nor is Bharat or his family, to be so open about a lot of things. But at that moment, we were put there and it also involves kids. These are very sensitive places in life. One has to tread through very carefully,” Esha said. She credited her family for standing by her through every phase of her life. “My family has always been very supportive of me through everything — good or not good,” she shared.

‘Every situation is different’

When asked what advice she would give to women who may be contemplating separation but are unsure about taking that step, Esha stressed that every relationship has its own circumstances.“The reasons could be very different. A lot of people will find my reasons not so reasonable to do certain things. And it’s always not only just a woman, it’s a man also. Two people who are good human beings, if they do something like this, I think it can be worked out better,” she said.Interestingly, despite going through a separation, Esha admitted that she still believes deeply in love and romance. The actress added that her experiences have not changed her outlook on relationships.Esha and Bharat officially ended their 11-year marriage in 2024, announcing an amicable separation in February. They share two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, born in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Go to Source
