They Call Him OG goes past Pushpa 2’s premiere day collection

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ goes past Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2’s premiere day collection in India

Pawan Kalyan returns with ‘They Call Him OG’. The film faced distribution issues in the US and Europe. Advance bookings in India surpass ‘Pushpa 2’. Premiere shows are set for tonight. The film has already earned over Rs 11 crore. North American buzz is high, nearing USD 3 million. It could become the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025.

In less than 8 hours audiences will get to see Pawan Kalyan back on the big screen with Sujeeth’s They Call Him OG. The film over the past few days has been in the news for all the wrong reasons with distributors in the United States of America and Europe speaking out against the last minute delivery of the content. They have received the content yesterday and are working non-stop to deliver the hard drives across the length and breadth of the circuits. And the game now moves to India, where the film is releasing tomorrow and will be having its premiere tonight at 10 PM. The advance booking for the film including tonight’s premiere night shows in National Cinema chains were opened at 1 PM. But the advance booking for the film at local cinemas across Telugu speaking states have been open for a while and going by the numbers, Pawan Kalyan’s film has taken a bigger opening than the biggest film of Telugu Cinema which was Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2- The Rule. Pushpa 2 had minted Rs 10.65 crore from its premiere shows while They Call Him OG has gone passed Rs 11 crore by 1 PM today and with still hours to go for the shows to roll, the numbers are expected to jump by at least Rs 1 to Rs 2 crore making it one of the biggest premiere day collection for a Telugu film. The buzz for the film in North America also is extremely high, despite facing delivery issues the film has already crossed USD 2.58 million collection and with more and more hard drives being delivered with each passing hour, more and more locations are being opened. If everything goes off smoothly the film is expected to mint USD 3 million just from it’s premiere shows and if lucky it could also challenge Rajinikanth’s Coolie premiere day collection of USD 3.04 million. IF They Call Him OG manages to mint USD 3 million it will in just one night become the highest grossing Telugu film of 2025 in the circuit.
