Hyundai Motor India has introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing option for the Creta Electric, lowering the SUV’s entry price to ₹10.99 lakh while allowing customers to pay separately for the battery through a subscription model.

Under the BaaS programme, customers can purchase the vehicle excluding the battery cost and opt for a battery payment plan starting at ₹3.9 per km, according to the company.

Hyundai said the offering also includes up to 100 per cent on-road funding excluding the battery cost and complimentary charger installation.

The Creta Electric offers a claimed driving range of up to 510 km on a full charge and supports DC fast charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 39 minutes using a 50 kW charger.

The electric SUV also comes with an eight-year/160,000-km battery warranty, access to more than 28,000 EV charging points through the myHyundai app, in-car payment functionality and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.
