Politics: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi Launches Seemanchal Yatra, Slams BJP Over Waqf Law

Bihar witnesses intense political activity today as the Congress Working Committee holds a high-profile meeting in Patna, while AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi begins his Seemanchal Nyay Yatra in Kishanganj. During the yatra, Owaisi launched a sharp critique of the BJP, accusing the party of misusing the Waqf law to seize mosques and Eidgahs, and to encroach upon graveyards.Owaisi asserted that the Waqf law, instead of protecting Waqf properties, has been turned into a tool to threaten religious institutions. He warned that those attempting to snatch mosques and Eidgahs will face defeat. Addressing the nation and directly referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he stated that the BJP’s plans to confiscate religious sites are destined to fail.Emphasizing the strength of community unity, Owaisi declared that AIMIM will continue to assert the rights of religious sites and safeguard mosques across the country. The political move comes amid heightened debates over minority rights and electoral strategies in Bihar ahead of the state assembly elections. The Seemanchal yatra is expected to cover multiple districts, raising issues affecting local communities and rallying public support for AIMIM’s agenda.
