Restless Mind? The Bhagavad Gita Warns Against Decisions Made In Haste

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna emphasises the importance of a steady and peaceful mind. Restlessness clouds clarity.

Choices made in haste often spring from anger, fear, or impatience—leading to regret later.

The Gita teaches discipline and control over the senses. When agitation rises, channel energy into exercise, meditation, or constructive work before deciding.

First, restore inner balance. Only after regaining calmness should important decisions be made.

As Krishna says (Chapter 2, Verse 64): “One with a disciplined mind, free from attachment and aversion, attains peace.”
