YouTuber Sourav Joshi received a Rs 5 crore extortion threat from ‘Bhau Gang’ led by ‘Chhota Don’.Police have increased security and cyber teams are investigating the email source.

Joshi, who resides in Olivia Colony on Rampur Road in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani, lodged a formal complaint with Kotwali Police.
Popular Indian YouTuber and digital content creator Sourav Joshi has reportedly received a threatening email demanding Rs 5 crore. The sender, claiming to be a member of the notorious ‘Bhau Gang’ led by a figure known as ‘Chhota Don’, issued the threat via email on September 15.
Joshi, who resides in Olivia Colony on Rampur Road in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani, lodged a formal complaint with Kotwali Police shortly after receiving the email. According to the complaint, the sender warned of serious consequences if the ransom demand was not met.

“We have received the complaint and are taking the matter very seriously. Cyber experts are analyzing the email source and tracking digital footprints. We are also coordinating with central agencies, considering the possibility of foreign involvement,” said Prakash Chandra, SP City.
In response to the threat, security around Joshi’s residence has been increased. Cybercrime teams are actively investigating the source of the email and working to identify those behind the extortion attempt.
