Chandra Nagamalliah beheading ‘could have been prevented’: Trump admin says Biden govt released ‘vile monster’

Authorities noted that 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez beheaded Nagamallaiah in front of his wife and son during a violent confrontation. Cobos-Martinez was one of the employees at the motel and was arrested and charged with capital murder

The US Department of Homeland Security has condemned the killing of Indian man Chandra Nagamalliah in Dallas last week, saying that his beheading by an “illegal alien could have been prevented.”

The DHS’s statement came after President Donald Trump vowed tough action against illegal immigrant criminals after the gruesome killing of 50-year-old Nagamalliah, who hailed from Karnataka.

According to the police, the attack took place on September 10 at the Downtown Suites motel on Samuell Boulevard, east of Downtown Dallas.

The authorities noted that 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez beheaded Nagamallaiah in front of his wife and son during a violent confrontation. Cobos-Martinez was one of the employees at the motel and was arrested and charged with capital murder.

What has DHS said?

In a post on X, DHS said, “This vile monster beheaded a man in front of his wife and child and proceeded to kick the victims’ head on the ground. This gruesome, savage slaying of a victim at a motel by Yordanis Cobos-Martinez was completely preventable if this criminal illegal alien was not released into our country by the Biden Administration since Cuba would not take him back.”

Its statement was accompanied by a picture of the accused Cobos-Martinez who is reportedly an immigrant from Cuba.

Police said the accused, Cobos-Martinez, attacked Nagamallaiah with a machete after an argument over a broken washing machine. Video footage showed Nagamallaiah trying to flee before being chased down, decapitated, and his head kicked across the parking lot before being dumped.

What did Trump say?

In a Truth Social post, Trump said Nagamallaiah was “brutally beheaded” by “an illegal alien from Cuba who should never have been in our country.” He called the victim a “well respected person in Dallas” and pledged that the accused would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

“I am aware of the terrible reports regarding the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah. This individual was previously arrested for terrible crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released back into our homeland under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their country. Rest assured, the time for being soft on these illegal immigrant criminals is OVER under my watch!” Trump said.
