A video capturing a couple engaging in an intimate act while riding pillion on a moving motorbike has gone viral, sparking outrage among locals and raising serious concerns over road safety. The incident reportedly took place on the Sagar-Kanpur Highway, in the Matguwan police station area of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
The video, filmed by a passerby from a moving vehicle, shows the couple openly indulging in romantic behaviour while seated behind the rider.

What has further raised alarm is that three individuals were riding the bike — a clear violation of traffic rules. Eyewitnesses claim that the couple appeared oblivious to their surroundings, with the female passenger clinging to the man, and the rider seemingly distracted.
Violation Of Law And Safety Norms
According to officials, the act breaches multiple traffic and public decency laws. Riding triple on a two-wheeler is illegal under Indian traffic laws, and indulging in intimate acts on a public road adds another layer of misconduct.
The Matguwan police have taken suo motu cognisance of the video and confirmed that an investigation is underway to identify and locate the individuals involved.
Demand For Strict Legal Action
Residents and community leaders have urged the administration to ensure such incidents are not repeated. They are demanding that strong legal penalties be imposed to send a message that such behaviour will not be tolerated in public spaces.
Many citizens have also requested the district administration to increase surveillance on highways and implement stricter traffic enforcement, especially in areas where young people tend to gather or engage in reckless behaviour.
