The wife of Navjot Singh, the senior Finance Ministry official who died in Sunday’s BMW crash near Delhi Cantonment metro station, has alleged in her FIR that the woman driving the car deliberately avoided taking her injured husband to the nearest hospital despite her repeated requests.

“I repeatedly requested the lady (accused) to take my husband to the nearest hospital, my husband needs immediate first aid. But she deliberately did not take my husband to the nearest hospital and instead took him to a faraway hospital known to them. My husband had to wait too long on a stretcher there,” Singh’s wife stated in her complaint.
