Delhi BMW Crash: Horrific visuals of the BMW crash that left Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary in the Department of the Ministry of Finance, dead, and his wife severely injured, have gone viral online.
The accident took place on Sunday when Singh, along with his wife, was returning from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara in Connaught Place. His motorcycle was hit by a BMW near the Delhi Cantonment metro station on Ring Road on Sunday.

The visuals from the spot show the BMW overturned, lying upside down on the road, with its wheels in the air. The motorcycle can also be seen lying near the vehicle, with an injured Singh and his wife also lying on the road near Metro pillar number 67.
Following the accident, the two were rushed to a hospital nearly 19 km from the accident spot.
The police reached the spot after receiving three PCR calls about a traffic jam near metro pillar number, and found a BMW X5 lying sideways on the road and a motorcycle parked near the road divider.
Meanwhile, the family of Singh has alleged that the accused “deliberately” took him to a hospital that was far from the accident site.
His wife alleged that while she kept telling the accused woman to take her husband to a nearby hospital, she was not listening.
“I repeatedly requested the lady (the accused) to take my husband to the nearest hospital. My husband needed immediate first aid, but she deliberately did not take my husband to the nearest hospital and took him to a hospital far away. My husband has to wait too long on the stretcher there,” she alleged.
Earlier in the day, Singh’s son too asked why his father had to be taken to a hospital far away.
“There was definitely something wrong; they were taken to a hospital 20 km away, which had no facilities. My father was declared dead at the hospital, but people there said that death instantly after an accident is very rare,” he alleged.
The police have seized both the vehicles and an investigation into the matter is underway.
