Time for being soft over: Trump vows action after Indian-origin man beheaded by illegal immigrant in Dallas

Trump has condemned the brutal beheading of Indian-origin motel manager Chandra Mouli “Bob” Nagamallaiah in Dallas, vowing that his administration will not be “soft” on illegal immigrant criminals

US President Donald Trump has vowed tough action against illegal immigrant criminals after the gruesome killing of 50-year-old Chandra Mouli “Bob” Nagamallaiah, an Indian-origin motel manager beheaded in Dallas, Texas.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said Nagamallaiah was “brutally beheaded” by “an illegal alien from Cuba who should never have been in our country.” He called the victim a “well respected person in Dallas” and pledged that the accused would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

“I am aware of the terrible reports regarding the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah. This individual was previously arrested for terrible crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released back into our homeland under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their country. Rest assured, the time for being soft on these illegal immigrant criminals is OVER under my watch!” Trump said.

Trump added that his administration, led by Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Border Czar Tom Homan, was committed to “making America safe again.”

The killing happened on September 10 at the Downtown Suites motel in Dallas. Police said the accused, 37-year-old Cuban national Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, attacked Nagamallaiah with a machete after an argument over a broken washing machine. Video footage showed Nagamallaiah trying to flee before being chased down, decapitated, and his head kicked across the parking lot before being dumped.

Cobos-Martinez, covered in blood and still holding the weapon, was arrested minutes later. Authorities confirmed he had a criminal record in the US but had been released after Cuba refused to take him back.

Nagamallaiah’s wife and son witnessed the attack and tried to stop it but were overpowered. Police have charged Cobos-Martinez with capital murder.

Trump reiterated that the suspect would face the harshest punishment: “This criminal, who we have in custody, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He will be charged with murder in the first degree.”
