Uttar Pradesh authorities have intensified preparations for the Kanwar Yatra scheduled to begin on July 30. The administration has issued several guidelines to ensure smooth arrangements and security along the pilgrimage routes. Officials have reportedly made it mandatory for hotels and roadside eateries on the Kanwar route to display QR codes, while shop owners and food vendors will be required to clearly display their names outside their establishments. The measures are aimed at increasing transparency and helping pilgrims access information about service providers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reportedly instructed officials to remain alert and ensure that Kanwariyas do not face difficulties during the journey. Authorities are also preparing traffic management plans, installing CCTV cameras, setting up sanitation facilities, and deploying senior officers for regular monitoring and patrolling. Sensitive districts in western Uttar Pradesh, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, and Saharanpur, have been placed under heightened security arrangements. The administration has also planned arrangements similar to previous years, including flower showers for pilgrims.
