Alia Bhatt reveals Samay Raina had her laughing so much that even her smartwatch got confused

Ahead of the release of ‘Alpha’, Alia Bhatt has been sharing fun behind-the-scenes moments from her recent public appearances. During a promotional event in Jaipur for the YRF Spy Universe film, the actor looked back at her appearance on Samay Raina’s ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 and revealed an amusing incident involving her smartwatch.According to Alia, the recording was filled with so much laughter that her wearable device incorrectly assumed she was under stress because of her elevated heart rate.

Alia Bhatt recalls an unforgettable shoot

Alia appeared on the premiere episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 alongside her ‘Alpha’ co-star Sharvari to promote their upcoming action thriller.Speaking about the experience, the actor said she thoroughly enjoyed Samay Raina’s humour and the lively atmosphere on set. “We loved his special. We loved how much laughter he brings to everyone, and we had an amazing time.” She went on to reveal that while the audience saw an episode lasting around an hour, the actual shoot continued for nearly five hours. “What you watched was just one hour, but we were there for four to five hours. During those five hours, we were laughing almost the entire time.”

When laughter confused her smartwatch

Sharing the funniest memory from the shoot, Alia revealed that her smartwatch couldn’t distinguish between prolonged laughter and stress. Because her heart rate remained elevated throughout the recording, the device interpreted it as a sign that she was under pressure.”Even the device that tracks my heart rate thought I was under a lot of stress because it’s not normal to laugh that much. But it was so much fun.” The candid anecdote drew laughter from the audience, highlighting just how entertaining the filming experience had been.

Samay Raina’s playful jabs went viral

Alia’s appearance on ‘India’s Got Latent’ quickly became one of the show’s most talked-about episodes, thanks to Samay Raina’s trademark roast comedy. At one point, when Alia admitted she was “slightly regretting” agreeing to appear on the show, Samay jokingly replied:”Maine bhi kiya tha ‘Jigra’ dekh ke regret.” (I had regrets too, after watching ‘Jigra’) The actor laughed at the remark and humorously thanked him for contributing to the film’s box-office collections. The comedian also poked fun at Alia’s appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, saying: “Kahan Cannes, kahan Latent. But here, the camera is on you.” (From Cannes to ‘Latent’… what a journey! But here, the camera is all on you. ) Later in the episode, Samay teased Alia again by claiming he was a huge fan before adding: “…of your husband, Ranbir Kapoor.”He wrapped up the episode by handing gift hampers to Alia and Sharvari and quipping: “Always wanted to give my autograph to someone like you.” ‘Alpha’ gears up for releaseAlia Bhatt will next be seen in ‘Alpha’, the latest chapter in Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spy Universe. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action thriller stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, with Bobby Deol playing the antagonist.
