Xacus grows in the first half of the year, launches golf-themed capsule collection, and debuts linen project with Albini

The Veneto-based shirt brand, which has consistently maintained a wholesale distribution network of approximately 1,500 stores across 40 countries and opened its first flagship store in Milan in 2022 on Via Solferino, reported “a slight increase in revenue, in the range of +5%, compared to the first half of the previous year, despite the somewhat stagnant market conditions caused by the various geopolitical upheavals we are all familiar with,” Xacus’ CEO, Paolo Xoccato, told FashionNetwork.com.

“We’re hoping for a more dynamic second half of the year, considering the market benchmark,” said the CEO, which is coming off a 2025 that closed with a slight decline in revenue (-3%), for an aggregate figure (including data from a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary) of 35 million euros.

The focus on the Netherlands and Northern Europe in general continues: “These are virtually Xacus’s most important markets, but we’re investing resources to expand into the United States. In fact, for the third time, between late July and early August, we’ll be participating in a trade show in Chicago,” the CEO noted.

Italy accounts for 60% of revenue. “The first goal is to reach at least a 50-50% split, and then further increase the international share- perhaps even through the expansion of our direct retail network- following the strong results of our flagship store in Milan,” said Xoccato. “E-commerce is growing steadily, albeit slightly; we know it will likely become an increasingly important channel, so we’re paying attention to that as well- but we respect our customers’ business practices and don’t pressure them to use this channel.”

The Vicenza-based brand, which outfits several professional golfers- both Italian and international- is placing a strong emphasis on golf for its Spring-Summer 2027 collection, thanks to a technical product rooted in the world of sports and performance. This technology is applied to apparel and perfected by Xacus in the world of shirts with the “Active” model- a breathable shirt that’s extremely easy to care for and guarantees natural movement and exceptional comfort.

In general, everything related to performance- specifically, cotton with special treatments and finishes- is featured more prominently in the brand’s new collection. Another new addition is the linen shirt line. This project, which Xacus has named “The Signature Linen,” was born from a collaboration with the Albini cotton mill with the goal of creating an exclusive collection of the highest-quality shirts using only yarns made from fibres grown in Normandy and Belgium. Each shirt is identified by a unique sequential number.

The supply chain begins with the ocean-facing fields where the flax is grown, which benefit from a climate particularly favourable to this type of plant. After the harvest, an initial wet maceration process takes place by leaving the flax to rest on the ground, allowing the fibre to separate from the bark naturally; after which the spinning and dyeing processes begin in Italy. For this, Xacus has “created very simple, exclusive designs typical of shirt-making, developed in pastel colours,” recalls Paolo Xoccato.

“Consumers will find a QR code attached to each garment that will take them to a video showing the region where the plant was grown, followed by the entire manufacturing process, right up to our final workers who assembled the garment, allowing them to appreciate the sustainable European journey behind the product,” concludes the CEO of the brand with the acronymic name, based on Xoccato Alberto (the founder) and Camiceria Uomo San Vito (based in Leguzzano), also known as Xacus.
