JSW MG Motor India passes full GST benefits to customers; SUVs get up to ₹3.04 lakh cheaper

JSW MG Motor India on Monday announced price reduction across its ICE SUV portfolio, passing on the full benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms to customers.

Effective September 7, 2025, the revised prices cover the Astor, Hector, and Gloster, with savings ranging from ₹54,000 to as much as ₹3.04 lakh depending on the model and variant.

According to the official press release, the company said the move comes ahead of the festive season and is aimed at enhancing affordability and consumer sentiment.

“The government’s decision to rationalise GST is a good move that directly addresses the affordability challenge for car buyers and builds positive consumer sentiment. By extending the full benefit of this reform across our SUV portfolio, we want to ensure customers experience the immediate value of this change,” said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India.

According to the updated chart, the MG Astor is now cheaper by up to ₹54,000, the Hector by up to ₹1.49 lakh, and the Gloster by as much as ₹3.04 lakh.

In addition to the revised prices, the automaker is also offering 100 per cent on-road funding and a three-month EMI holiday, giving buyers additional financial flexibility.

The announcement comes in line with similar moves by other automakers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Hyundai, Tata Motors, and Lexus, who have all rolled out price cuts to pass on GST benefits.
