The Hilux is offered in six exterior colours, including the new Sulphur Metallic.Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Tuesday launched the all-new Hilux in India at a starting price of ₹31.99 lakh (ex-showroom), introducing updated styling, enhanced technology, improved comfort and advanced safety features as it looks to strengthen its premium lifestyle pickup portfolio.
The ninth-generation Hilux is available in three automatic variants — 4×2 GX, 4×4 GX and 4×4 VX — priced at ₹31.99 lakh, ₹33.69 lakh and ₹36.69 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Bookings have opened from July 28, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence in the second week of August.
Built on Toyota’s IMV platform, the pickup adopts the company’s new “Cyber Sumo” design language with a wider grille, sculpted bonnet, redesigned front bumper, LED lighting and new alloy wheels. It continues to be powered by a 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an 80-litre fuel tank.
Enhanced off-road capability, connected features
Toyota has retained the Hilux’s off-road focus with a four-wheel-drive system featuring High (H4) and Low (L4) range, an Electronic Differential Lock and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), while a double-wishbone front suspension and leaf-spring rear setup are aimed at balancing off-road capability with on-road comfort. Inside, the Hilux receives a refreshed cabin with soft-touch materials, metallic accents, an ergonomic dashboard, 60:40 split rear seats and tilt-and-telescopic steering. Convenience features include Smart Entry with push-button start, wireless charging, cruise control, PM2.5 air filtration and multiple drive modes.
The pickup also gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota i-Connect connected-car technology, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, voice controls and an eight-speaker audio system.
Safety features include seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS with Brake Assist, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors and a panoramic view monitor.
