Pakistani Intruder Arrested Along IB In Jammu, BSF To Lodge Protest With Pakistan Rangers

A Pakistani national was arrested along the International Border (IB) in the R S Pura sector of Jammu, the Border Security Force (BSF) said on Monday, adding that a formal protest is being lodged with Pakistan over the incident.

The intrusion occurred near the Octroi outpost in Suchetgarh tehsil at around 9:10 pm on Sunday. According to a BSF statement, the man, identified as Siraj Khan from 27-Chak village in Bhalwal tehsil of Punjab province, was spotted crossing the border and aggressively moving toward the fence.

The BSF confirmed that a protest is being registered with its Pakistani counterparts. Meanwhile, security has been tightened along the Jammu frontier, where several border posts and fencing were recently damaged by flash floods.
