Breaking News: Massive Bulldozer Action in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh

A major demolition drive is underway in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh area, where authorities have launched action against more than 150 houses following a High Court order. According to officials, around 157 structures identified as illegal constructions are being demolished as part of a road widening project. The operation began early in the morning, with police and paramilitary forces deployed across the area to maintain law and order. The entire locality has been turned into a security zone since last night to prevent any untoward incident. Bulldozers started operating around 4:00–6:30 AM, and heavy machinery has been deployed to carry out the large-scale demolition. Authorities stated that residents had been given a deadline until May 30 to vacate their homes after which the action was initiated. The drive has sparked protests from some local residents, though officials maintain that the action is being carried out under court orders for infrastructure expansion and road widening. The area remains under tight security as demolition continues.
