The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) announced the 2025 rankings for higher education in India on September 4. Five Bengaluru universities feature in the top 100, with IISc securing the No.1 spot for the 10th year in a row. Here’s a look at Bengaluru’s top-ranked institutions.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru: India’s No.1 university for the tenth year in a row. With 42 departments, world-class research, and global collaborations, IISc sets the benchmark in science, engineering, and technology education—a hub of innovation and excellence.
