NEET Leak: Nashik-Haryana Link Exposed, Students Slam NTA After Exam Cancellation

Fresh revelations in the NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy have intensified outrage across India after sources claimed that the first leaked copy of the exam paper was allegedly prepared in Nashik before being routed to Haryana, where nearly 10 duplicate sets were created and distributed across multiple states. According to sources, the leaked papers later reached Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Rajasthan, triggering one of the country’s biggest education scandals. The controversy erupted after suspicious activities linked to Rajasthan’s Sikar district came under investigation by the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG). Following the probe, authorities uncovered what is believed to be a large interstate paper leak network, forcing the cancellation of the NEET examination conducted on May 3. The cancellation has left lakhs of students emotionally shattered. Candidates from Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Patna, Mumbai, and Bhopal voiced anger against the National Testing Agency (NTA), questioning how such a breach could happen again after the 2024 controversy. Many students said they had spent months preparing, scoring between 580 and 640 marks in self-assessment calculations, only to see their efforts collapse overnight. Several aspirants described the situation as mentally exhausting, saying repeated exam leaks are destroying student confidence and trust in the system. Students demanded stricter security measures, stronger accountability, and transparent reforms in the examination process. Some candidates also suggested moving NEET entirely to an online format to eliminate the risk of paper leaks and organized cheating. Education experts and coaching institutes have warned that repeated failures in conducting secure national-level exams could deeply damage the credibility of India’s competitive testing framework. Meanwhile, political pressure continues to rise as investigations expand into the alleged nationwide leak racket.
