A 31-year-old pilot working with a private airlines company has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly filming women with a hidden camera and molesting them. Police identified the accused as Mohit Priyadarshi, a resident of Agra, who was living in Delhi’s South West area and employed in the private sector.

The case came to light after a woman filed a complaint at Kishangarh police station on the night of August 30. Around 10:20 pm, while visiting Shani Bazaar in Kishangarh village, she noticed a man recording her with a lighter-shaped device. When she confronted him, the suspect fled. The woman immediately approached the police, who launched an investigation.

With the help of CCTV footage from the area and inputs from local informers, officers tracked down Priyadarshi. During his arrest, police recovered a hidden spy camera designed to look like a cigarette lighter, along with multiple objectionable videos of women.

According to investigators, Priyadarshi confessed during interrogation that he secretly recorded women for his own gratification. Police sources said he admitted to targeting women in upscale malls and crowded markets across Delhi, often focusing on those in short dresses or shorts. He allegedly placed the device between his legs to capture footage without being noticed.

A preliminary forensic examination of the device revealed dozens of videos of unsuspecting women. Police believe he had been indulging in such activities for several months. Though he has no prior criminal record and is unmarried, investigators said his conduct raises concerns that he may have been involved in similar crimes in the past.

A case has been registered under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (molestation) along with provisions of the Information Technology Act. Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to determine whether the videos were shared or circulated beyond his possession.
