Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ set for release in Japan on July 10 following Rs 1,300 crore worldwide success

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar (Part 1) will release in Japan on July 10 after a strong global run. Makers shared a Japanese poster online. The film earned Rs. 1307.35 crore worldwide. The spy thriller follows an undercover agent tackling terror networks, with sequel The Revenge continuing the high-stakes mission forward ahead.

Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ (Part 1) is gearing up for its Japan release on July 10 after creating waves at the global box office. The makers unveiled the film’s poster on Instagram, showcasing the title in Japanese. Sharing the update in a collaborative post, they captioned: “It’s time for Japan to experience the Dhurandhar energy! Arriving in theatres across Japan on 10.7.2026.”

‘Dhurandhar’ box office performance sets global record

According to Sacnilk, the first part of the spy action entertainer raked in a massive Rs. 1307.35 crore globally following its release on December 5, 2025. As per the makers’ statement, the film “recorded a landmark performance internationally, emerging as the No. 1 Hindi film of all time in North America, while also becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever in Canada and Australia, and ranking among the top-performing Indian films in the UK.”

‘Dhurandhar’ cast and plot details revealed

Featuring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Danish Pandor, Dhurandhar is planned as a two-part film. The first installment revolved around a high-stakes covert counter-terrorism mission, following an undercover Indian intelligence officer who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld and political system in Pakistan to dismantle a terror network targeting India.

‘Dhurandhar’ sequel expands the high-stakes story

Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ continues the journey of an undercover Indian intelligence agent who delves deeper into Karachi’s criminal networks and political landscape, while seeking justice for the 26/11 attacks and facing more dangerous threats. The storyline takes loose inspiration from various real-life geopolitical tensions and conflicts in South Asia.
