Japan flags UK delays in next-gen fighter jet programme, raises concerns over timeline

When the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) was established in 2022 by Japan, UK and Italy, the aim was to put next-generation fighter jets in the skies by 2035. Fast forward to 2026, Japan has expressed its disappointment over the purported delay by the UK government over its slow funding approval.
