The ES500e is the brand’s first BEV offering in India and forms part of its broader multi-path electrification strategy, which includes hybrid and electric powertrains. The company said it will introduce the hybrid version of the ES at a later stage.
Built on the TNGA GA-K platform, the ES500e is powered by a 74.68 kWh lithium-ion battery pack delivering 252 kW of maximum output. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 580 km on a single charge and can achieve 10–80 per cent charging in about 28 minutes using a 150 kW fast charger.

Lexus said the new ES has been developed under the concept of “Experience Elegance and Electrified Sedan”, focusing on improved ride comfort, quietness, and driving dynamics. The model features a redesigned exterior inspired by the LF-ZC concept, along with a minimalist interior equipped with a 14-inch infotainment display and advanced connected technologies.
Safety features include the latest Lexus Safety System+, comprising pre-collision systems, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, and a 3D panoramic view monitor.
Hikaru Ikeuchi, President of Lexus India, said the ES500e represents the company’s vision for sustainable luxury mobility in India. “With our first BEV for the Indian market, we reinforce our commitment to electrification while continuing to offer refined, guest-centric experiences,” he said.
The company is also offering an 8-year/200,000 km warranty on the vehicle and battery, along with roadside assistance and multiple charging solutions, including home and portable chargers.
