Adrian Grenier sets condition for acting comeback

'The Devil Wears Prada' actor Adrian Grenier on the one condition for an acting comeback: 'I’d like to stay close to home'

Former ‘Entourage’ actor Adrian Grenier is contemplating a return to the screen, but with one caveat: the projects must shoot near his scenic Texas homestead. With family and a commitment to eco-friendly living at the forefront of his priorities, Grenier welcomes the burgeoning film scene in Texas as a perfect opportunity.

Adrian Grenier says he is open to acting full-time again, but only if the work stays close to his life in Texas. The former ‘Entourage’ star, who moved from Los Angeles to a farm in Bastrop in 2020, said he wants to stay near his wife, Jordan Roemmele, and their two young sons. He also said the shift in production outside California makes that goal more realistic now. Grenier, 49, added that he is choosing projects more carefully at this stage of his life.

Adrian Grenier’s acting return condition

According to Page Six, Grenier said he would seriously consider a return to acting on a larger scale if filming were to take place near home. In the Page Six interview, he is quoted as saying, “The truth is, the industry is moving to me.” He added, “They’re building three movie studios not too far from me. I don’t see any reason why we couldn’t just continue to film in Texas.” Grenier also made clear that family is central to that decision. “My family’s in Texas,” he said. “So I’d like to stay close to home.”

Adrian Grenier, Texas life, and new projects

Grenier has largely stepped away from Hollywood’s pace since relocating to Texas, where he now lives on a 46-acre sustainable farm. His recent screen work has been limited, and Page Six reported that his latest project is the short film ‘Self Custody,’ described as a bitcoin-themed action thriller shot in Austin. The actor said the project fit both his interests and his values. E! News quoted him saying, “At the end of the day, I really only take roles that reflect my values or that speak to me in some way.” He added, “I’m in a position, luckily, where I don’t have to take what I can get.”The report further added that he called missing the sequel “a disappointment” and suggested fan backlash to Nate, his character in the original film, could have played a role.
