Priyanka Mohan REACTS to meme attacks

'OG' actress Priyanka Mohan responds to meme attacks; says, 'That fall helped me to rise'

Priyanka Mohan candidly addressed the recent wave of social media trolling and negativity she’s faced, particularly concerning her acting. While not calling it an organized campaign, she acknowledged the hurtful nature of the online attacks. Previously, she suggested such trolling could be paid, asserting it only strengthens her resolve.

Actress Priyanka Mohan has opened up about the intense trolling and negativity she has been facing on social media over the past few months. The young star, who rose to prominence in Tamil cinema with her performance in the film Doctor, recently addressed the issue during a conversation with journalist Sudhir Srinivasan.Priyanka’s recent performances have been widely discussed online and several meme pages have targeted the actress, often criticising her acting and making viral memes from scenes in her films.

Memes targeting her recent films

Many netizens criticised her performances and labelled her “wooden face.” and one of the films frequently referenced in these memes was Nani’s ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaram’. Clips from the film were often used by meme pages to mock the actress.

Priyanka Mohan’s response

During the interview, Priyanka was asked directly whether she believed there was an organised hate campaign targeting her. The actress responded thoughtfully, saying the term itself might be too strong, “I would say yes, Campaign is a big word. But a lot of things has happened, which I don’t want to dwell into the past. But i have understood that it’s an uncertain industry, anything can happen to anyone. Obviously it hurts me, but that fall helped me to rise,” explained Priyanka Mohan.

Earlier comments on social media trolls

Priyanka had previously addressed the issue during a press conference held in Hyderabad in 2025. At the event she opened up about how she keeps a distance from social media.“I don’t handle my social media; I have a team that does it for me. I try to be away as much as possible because I feel it’s unnecessary. All it’s useful for is for me to put out my work and pictures.”When asked about the memes and trolling directed at her, the actress made a striking claim about how such online attacks often work.“All that is paid. Even you know trolls can be paid to target someone. Someone who does not like me or hates me pays trolls to post negative memes about me.”She added with confidence, “I don’t know who that is; the one taking the money would know. Also, I don’t care about it. All that only makes me stronger.”On the other hand, Priyanka Mohan was last seen in the actioner ‘OG’.
