Sara left shocked as host jokes about identifying actors from ‘behind’ in pap videos

Sara Ali Khan is left shocked as host jokes about identifying actors from 'behind' through paparazzi videos: 'Yeh kya bol raha hai?'

Several actresses in the past, including Janhvi Kapoor and Malaika Arora, have spoken about feeling uncomfortable with the way paparazzi sometimes photograph or film them, especially when the focus is on certain angles. Some have even directly called out photographers for shooting them from behind. Now, Sara Ali Khan was left shock when recently a host made a joke on it. The actor, who is currently promoting her upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, attended the trailer launch in Mumbai where an awkward moment unfolded. During the event, the host began making jokes about identifying actors “from behind” and even admitted to watching and saving such paparazzi clips.Sara appeared visibly taken aback by the remark and turned to her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana, asking, “Yeh kya bol raha hai? (What is he saying?)”The video quickly spread across social media, drawing criticism from users. One person wrote, “Wow and they are sitting and laughing. Instead of asking him to stop this.” Another commented, “The guts!!” while a third added, “And they are sitting and laughing.” Yet another user remarked, “These so call standup comedians normalie all these things.” Speaking earlier to Film Companion about similar experiences, Janhvi Kapoor had shared, “For some reason, the gym is where people see me the most. Some days I just want to look comfortable and not care about if ‘this is going to look vulgar’ if the photo is taken at a certain angle. This irritates me. I don’t care if someone thinks if it is pretty or hot, I care if someone thinks that I am looking vulgar. I don’t think that any girl steps out with the intention of looking vulgar. Sometimes you get photographed in a certain way or people perceive you in a certain way and they character assassinate you, even though you make choices based on your comfort. That bothers me.”Sara is currently promoting Pati Patni Aur Woh Do alongside Rakul Preet Singh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Vijay Raaz, and Ayushmann Khurrana. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh, which starred Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar.Directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, with creative production by Juno Chopra, the romantic comedy is slated to release in theatres on May 15, 2026.
