Shakira has been on a roll these past few days as she has been busy with her concerts. Last night was another huge spectacle for the singer as she performed at the Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. This concert was completely free for all attendees, and was held as a part of her ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Llora’ (Women No Longer Cry) world tour. During the tour, which called upon thousands of attendees, the latino singer ended up bringing out a special guest on stage for a surprise performance.

Shakira invites Anita on stage to perform new song

An AP report recently shared that Shakira followed the trend of holding free concerts at the Copacabana Beach like fellow artists such as Beyonce have done before. During the concert, she performed some of her biggest hits, including songs like ‘Can’t Remember to Forget You,’ ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ ‘I Am Here,’ and ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).’During one of the segments on stage, Shakira, in a surprise move ended up inviting fellow singer Anita on stage. The two got together and performed the song ‘Choka Choka’ for the fans, who went berserk at the surprise performance and grooved to the beats of the music. As per thye report, the free concert was a huge success, and a statement by the city’s mayor cited that around 2 million fans attended the free concert which was held at the Cpacabana Beach. During the concert, she ensured to interact with fans through and through. In one of the segments, taking into consideration the theme of the tour she said “Us women, every time we fall we get up a little wiser.”The Copacabana beach is a popular spot for artists to hold large scale concerts. In 2024 when pop icon Madonna performed, her concert amassed around 1.6 million fans in attendance. When Lady Gaga took the same stage in 2025, her concert ended up having a gathering of around 2.1 million fans.
