‘Does anyone ask SRK about me?’: Suchitra slams repeated questions

'Does anyone ask Shah Rukh Khan about me?': Suchitra Krishnamoorthi slams repeated and 'so boring' questions on her 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' co-star

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi expressed frustration over repeatedly being asked about Shah Rukh Khan, her ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ co-star, calling the questions boring and unfair. She said she doesn’t believe in networking and prefers solitude. Her viral clip sparked mixed reactions, with some SRK fans defending him as Bollywood’s “biggest superstar,” while others found it funny.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi got irritated during a recent interview when asked if she still keeps in touch with Shah Rukh Khan. Just to remind, she worked with him in the film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’. She said that if nobody asks SRK about her, then people shouldn’t ask her about him either. She added that she has also worked with big names like Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor, but no one ever asks her similar questions about them.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi on networking and solitude

When asked whether she’s still in touch with SRK, the actress told Hindi Rush, “Please, no contact. I’m telling you, stop asking me these questions. It’s so boring. Jaise aur koi cheez hi nahi hai duniya me jo important hai.” When the interviewer brought up how networking plays a big role in Bollywood, Suchitra said she simply doesn’t believe in it, adding that she feels too old for that kind of thing now. She explained that she doesn’t chase people for work opportunities and prefers to create her own instead. While she said she can be social whenever required, she’s currently content in her own solitude. She went on to add, “Aur yeh sawaal se bahot bore ho chuki hu mai. Koi Shah Rukh se puchta hai ki ‘have you spoken to Suchitra Krishnamoorthi?'”.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi calls out unequal treatment

The actress didn’t hold back her irritation at being repeatedly quizzed about SRK, noting that despite having worked with a number of other actors, he’s the only one whose name keeps coming up. She felt it was unjust that her other co-stars never face the same kind of questioning, and admitted she’s grown weary of the constant repetition.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s career beyond SRK

Suchitra is mainly known for her work in films such as ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ and ‘Rann’, and has also built a name for herself in theatre, music, and writing.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s viral clip sparks reactions

A clip from her interview has since gone viral on social media, and it doesn’t seem to have sat well with some of SRK’s fans. Several users took to the comments section to defend the ongoing curiosity around him, referring to Shah Rukh Khan as Bollywood’s “biggest superstar.” Others, however, found the moment amusing and sided with Krishnamoorthi’s viewpoint.
