Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 Date Live Updates: Major Hindu festival, Ganesh Chaturthi, is set to begin from tomorrow. To mark the auspicious day, schools and colleges are closed in several states including Maharashtra, Goa, and others. The festival is celebrated with great zeal across India, specifically in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, among others. As per Drikpanchang.com, Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 will be celebrated on Wednesday i.e. August 27, 2025.

Ganesh Chaturthi Start Date & End Date

According to the Hindu calendar, the chaturthi tithi begins on August 26 at 1:54 pm and ends on August 27 at 3:44 pm.

The 10-day festival will end on September 6, with Ganesh Visarjan. On this day, Lord Ganesha’s idols are carried out in grand processions and immersed in rivers, lakes, or the sea.

The day is also known as ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’ or ‘Vinayak Chavithi’. The festival celebrates Ganesha as the ‘God of New Beginnings’ and the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.
