A shocking incident has rattled Bollywood after firing was reported outside the Mumbai residence of renowned filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The incident took place in the Juhu area, triggering immediate security concerns for the film industry. Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch swung into action and arrested four accused shooters, all aged between 19 and 23, from Pune. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were hired operatives and not the main conspirators behind the attack. Investigations have pointed towards the involvement of notorious gangster Shubham Lonkar, a known associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police believe Lonkar was the mastermind who arranged funding, weapons, and logistics for the firing. An audio message allegedly linked to the gang has surfaced, claiming that the attack was meant to send a warning message to Bollywood, raising fears of an extortion attempt. Sources say the modus operandi of this attack closely resembles previous firing incidents, including the one outside actor Salman Khan’s residence. Rohit Shetty has fully cooperated with the investigation, providing his phone records and electronic data to the police. While no prior direct threat to Shetty has been confirmed so far, authorities are probing whether the firing was part of a larger criminal conspiracy aimed at intimidating high-profile figures. The search for Shubham Lonkar continues, as police tighten security around Bollywood personalities.
