Aditi Rao Hydari is living one of the most special phases of her career as she attends the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2025. The celebrated actress, who has won millions of hearts with her elegance and versatility, is currently in Australia. And, she has been sharing glimpses of her experiences from the festival. Fans have been showering her with love as she continues to make headlines with her breathtaking looks and heartfelt moments in Melbourne.

The actress recently treated her followers to a carousel of photographs from the event with the simple yet expressive caption, “Melbourne”, with a red heart, set to the soulful track, Sapphire by Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh. Her ensemble immediately caught attention, striking a perfect balance between grace and glamour.

Aditi Rao Hydari’s look featured a strapless embellished bustier-style top, intricately adorned with delicate embroidery and light-toned detailing on a black fabric. She paired the top with a dramatic, floor-sweeping black skirt, which added fluidity and volume to her silhouette. Completing the attire were dark open-toed sandals, lending understated elegance.

To accessorise, Aditi chose statement chandelier earrings that added sparkle to the look without overshadowing her outfit. Her makeup was kept soft and natural, with a strong emphasis on the eyes, while her hair, styled in effortless loose waves, cascaded gracefully over her shoulders.

Honoured with the Diversity in Cinema Award

The highlight of her visit to Melbourne, however, came when Aditi Rao Hydari was felicitated with the prestigious Diversity in Cinema Award at IFFM 2025. The Heeramandi actress took to Instagram to proudly share her special moment holding the trophy.

In an emotional note, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “On the day of India’s Independence, the Diversity in Cinema honour is all the more special.” She went on to thank Melbourne for the affection and kindness she received during the festival, writing, “This was the warmest 3 days. You all felt like home. Thank you, Melbourne, for the love!”

From Heeramandi to Upcoming Projects

Aditi Rao Hydari was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand digital debut, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, a lavish period drama set in the red-light district of Lahore during the freedom struggle against British rule. The series explored the intricate lives of tawaifs (courtesans) and how their personal and political battles intertwined with the socio-political landscape of colonial India. The show featured a stellar ensemble cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal and Taha Shah Badussha.

Looking ahead, Aditi is busy with multiple projects. She is currently filming Parivarik ManuRanjan, a family entertainer alongside Pankaj Tripathi, in Lucknow. Additionally, she has another exciting venture titled ‘O Saathi Re’ lined up, ensuring that her fans have much to look forward to in the coming months.
