Sonu Sood’s mantra for six-pack abs at 52

Sonu Sood's mantra for six-pack abs at 52: ‘I like keeping my routine varied so it challenges my body’

Bollywood actor Suno Sood is often seen making headlines not just for his movies but also for his fitness. Even at the age of 52, the ‘Dabangg’ star rocks chiselled abs by following a healthy lifestyle. In a recent interview, Sonu Sood spilled the beans on his fitness mantra, the secret of his six-pack abs at 52 and more. Read on to find out how the ‘Simmba’ actor maintains a lean, mean physique.

Sonu Sood’s morning ritual: warm water, alignment of mind and boy, gratitude

While a lot of people don’t even waste a minute and enter the rat race lifestyle as soon as they wake up, Sonu Sood, on the contrary, believes in slow mornings. He kick-starts his day early and quietly, and then, “A glass of warm water, a few minutes of gratitude, and light stretching help me align my mind and body. The slow morning sets the tone for the rest of the day, no matter how hectic it gets,” the actor shared in conversation with Hindustan Times.

They say time changes everything, but it appears this formula doesn’t apply to Suno Sood’s abs. And the actor revealed how he has managed to maintain those chiselled six-packs all these years. For him, the key lies in consistency and discipline. He said, “I maintain a simple mantra, which is consistency and discipline. I’ve always believed that fitness is a lifestyle, not a phase. I focus on clean, protein-rich meals and a structured workout routine.”Speaking of workout routines, the Chhedi Singh of Bollywood makes sure to dedicate about an hour every day to his fitness regimen, which is a mix of different exercises. “My workouts include strength training, core work, functional exercises, and cardio. I like keeping my routine varied so it challenges my body and keeps things interesting,” he added. Also, it is not easy to maintain consistency in a line of work where days get more hectic by the hour. Yet, for Sonu Sood, the motivation to never break his fitness routine comes from discipline. He shared, “Even on busy days, I try to move my body, whether it’s a quick workout, stretching, or a walk. Fitness doesn’t always mean a long gym session because consistency matters more.”

Sonu Sood advocates balance diet and portion control

A few days back, Hrithik Roshan, on his social media handle, highlighted the importance of portion control. Similarly, Shehnaaz Gill, whose body transformation left everyone stunned, also spoke about the importance of eating in moderation. When it comes to diet, Sonu also echoes similar sentiments. He believes in having a simple and balanced diet and doesn’t follow extreme measures. “Meals are adjusted depending on my shoot schedule or physical demands, but the foundation remains the same: home-style food, portion control, and good nutrition,” mentioned the ‘R… Rajkumar,’ actor, before adding, “I like to keep my meals light, nutritious, and easy to digest. I usually rely on fresh fruits, nuts, sprouts, and lentils for energy.” Describing what he snacks on during long shoot days, he said, “I carry roasted chana, fruit bowls, or simple homemade protein snacks. They help me stay active and focused without feeling sluggish, which is very important when you’re on set for long hours.”When asked about a cheat meal, he added, “I enjoy food, but I’m mindful. I do allow myself occasional indulgences, but I don’t overdo it. Balance is important; fitness should enhance your life, not restrict it.”

Sonu Sood says there’s no shortcut to fitness

In the fast-paced world, many wish to turn to trendy diets and supplements for quick results. However, Sonu Sood believes that “there are no shortcuts to fitness.” He strongly advocated “natural training, clean eating, and patience.” The ‘Happy New Year’ actor shared, “Supplements should only be taken when genuinely needed and under guidance. Steroids and extreme diets can harm your body. Fitness is about long-term health, not quick results.”

Mental health matters

Last but not least, the actor spoke about mental well-being as well and shared how important it is for him. For maintaining mental health, the actor practices “meditation and breathing exercises regularly.” “Yoga helps me stay flexible and calm, and I make it a point to spend time in silence whenever possible. It keeps me grounded,” he concluded. Go to Source
