In a post shared on his social media handle, Akhil Sathyan said, “Happened to watch the trailer of #Kathanar and it’s unlike anything Malayalam cinema has ever seen. The makers wrapped up the shoot in 2024 and have been working on the post-production ever since. The team also unveiled a glimpse of the movie two years ago. Akhil Sathyan’s post hints that the makers are planning to launch the ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’ trailer soon. Actress Anushka Shetty has also been roped in to play a crucial role in the film. “We have poured every bit of our passion, dedication, and sincerity into this film for the past three years. The film featured Nivin Pauly in the lead role. The film minted over Rs 125 crore at the worldwide box office collection, as confirmed by the makers, and continues to run successfully in the theatres, despite big Pongal releases.
