‘Vrusshabha’ BO day 6: Mohanlal Film shows no growth

'Vrusshabha' box office collections day 6: Mohanlal Film shows no growth; mints Rs 6 lakhs

Mohanlal’s ambitious pan-Indian film ‘Vrusshabha’ is struggling at the box office, with collections remaining low even on its sixth day. The film has garnered a meager Rs 2.04 crores worldwide, with Malayalam and other language versions showing minimal traction. Despite the extensive CGI and emotional narrative, the box office performance has yet to match the production’s scale and effort.

Mohanlal’s pan-Indian film ‘Vrusshabha’ is still not able to find its pace at the box office. Even on day 6, the film showed no sign of improvement. The total worldwide collection stands at Rs 2.04 crores so far. The India net collection is Rs 1.54 crores, while the India gross has reached Rs 1.79 crores. Overseas numbers are also low at Rs 25 lakhs.

Malayalam collections stay very low

According to the Sacnilk website, in day 6, the film collected only Rs 6 lakhs. The total Malayalam net collection is around Rs 1.07 crores. Day-wise numbers show a steady fall. Day 3 saw Rs 15 lakhs, day 4 dropped to Rs 10 lakhs, day 5 went down to Rs 9 lakhs, and day 6 slipped further. The film has not shown any jump during the weekdays.

Other language versions also struggle

The Hindi version of ‘Vrusshabha’ is performing very poorly. The total Hindi net collection is just Rs 9 lakhs. Day 6 added only Rs 1 lakh. Telugu numbers are slightly better but still weak. The Telugu version has collected around Rs 33 lakhs in total, with day 6 bringing just Rs 1 lakh. Kannada collections are the lowest, with a total of Rs 5 lakhs, and day 6 again adding only Rs 1 lakh. Across all languages, the trend remains flat.

Mohanlal speaks about the film

Earlier in the trailer launch Mohanlal spoke about the tough making of Vrusshabha. He said, “It took a lot of time to make the film because of extensive CGI work. It contains a lot of emotions and tells the tale of two eras.” He also shared that the team faced many challenges during filming. “We faced many issues during the making of the film, and I thank all the actors who stood by the project and made it possible,” he said. Mohanlal added that this film is not like his usual work. “For me, it is a different film,” he said. Despite the effort and scale, the box office numbers are yet to reflect that hard work.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
