Citroën India has expanded its retail footprint with the inauguration of its 126th point of sales and service (POS&S) in Chennai, as the French carmaker steps up efforts to improve customer accessibility and brand reach in the country.

The new 3S facility, located at Chitlapakkam near Chrompet, has been set up in partnership with VTK Automobiles, an existing Citroën franchisee in the city. VTK Automobiles currently operates four Citroën touchpoints in Chennai, including showrooms at OMR and Nungambakkam and workshops at OMR and Kattupakkam.

The latest outlet is part of Citroën’s ‘Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into The New’ strategy, which focuses on deeper localisation, expanding the dealer and service network, and strengthening customer-centric sales and ownership experiences. Chennai is seen as a key market for Stellantis-owned brands Citroën and Jeep in India.

Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India, said the expanded dealership network would help improve sales and aftersales support in the region. He added that strengthening dealer partnerships remains central to the company’s growth plans in India.

The Chennai facility operates as a dual-brand outlet for Citroën and Jeep, offering sales, service and spare parts under one roof. It is equipped with digital tools, diagnostics infrastructure and a full-fledged workshop, aimed at providing a standardised experience across sales and aftersales.
