The attorney general for the District of Columbia, Brian Schwalb, filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington challenging the Trump administration’s takeover of the city’s police department. This comes after U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed DEA Administrator Terry Cole as the “emergency police commissioner” of the D.C. police.
