The shutdown in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) continued for the third consecutive day as protests persisted across several regions. Demonstrators from Mirpur, Kotli, Bagh, Palandri, and Gadyal were expected to march towards Muzaffarabad, with reports claiming that lakhs of people were participating in the movement. According to the report, Pakistani security forces opened fire at multiple locations on Tuesday and Wednesday, resulting in 11 deaths and 38 injuries. It further alleged that a total of 37 Kashmiri civilians had been killed over the past four days due to firing by the Pakistani Army and Rangers. To monitor the ongoing demonstrations, Pakistani authorities reportedly deployed helicopters over protest areas. Despite heightened security measures, protests and the shutdown continue across different parts of PoK, with demonstrators pressing ahead with their planned march towards Muzaffarabad.
