Efforts to restore peace in the Middle East appear to have suffered a setback as tensions between the United States and Iran have intensified over the past 96 hours. According to the report, on 8 June, Iran claimed it had shot down a US helicopter, reigniting hostilities. On 9 June, the US reportedly carried out limited airstrikes inside Iran in response. By 10 June, both countries had expanded military operations, with reports of US attacks on eight Iranian locations and alleged Iranian retaliatory strikes on American positions. The latest developments on 11 June indicate that the US launched attacks on several Iranian cities, with reports claiming that five locations were targeted simultaneously. In response, Iran reportedly struck a US military base in Iraq, marking another escalation in the confrontation. The report also states that Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned attacks on critical infrastructure and declared that Iran would resist external pressure, emphasizing the country’s scientific capabilities, national unity, and readiness to respond to any further aggression.
