Pune call centre staffer death: A 28-year-old woman employed as an accountant at a multinational business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Pune was allegedly killed in a sharp weapon attack by one of her colleagues in the company’s parking lot. The woman, who suffered severe injuries to her hand, died from her wounds while receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:15 pm in the parking lot of the BPO in Yerawada on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Shubhada Shankar Kodare, a resident of Katraj. The suspected attacker is 30-year-old Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, a resident of Shivajinagar.

A video showing how the man killed the victim Shubhada using a chopper in public view and tried to walk away from the spot has now emerged.
The video shows as soon as the accused threw the chopper, people caught him, thrashed him, and later handed him to the police.
According to the police, the victim had borrowed some money from the accused.
Police said a dispute over the money escalated, leading the accused to attack and kill the woman with a chopper in full public view.
Elaborating on the details, police said there were some heated arguments between the duo at their workplace on Tuesday. When Kodare left the office at around 6.30 pm and reached the parking area, the accused followed her and attacked her.
The woman was rushed to a private hospital in Yerawada where she later died due to excessive bleeding.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has condemned the killing of the 28-year-old woman, urging swift and decisive action against the culprit.

NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar has written to Maharashtra Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla for an immediate and fair investigation.
The Commission directed the state police to charge the accused and submit an Action Taken Report, along with a copy of the FIR, within 48 hours.
