LiAngelo Ball Signs Music Deal Worth $13 Million: Report - News18
American basketball player LiAngelo Ball’s music career has taken the internet by storm. Ball, who is the middle brother of Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball and Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, became a big hit among music enthusiasts for his new song Tweaker.
It is now being learnt that the 26-year-old has landed a mind-boggling deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group.
As per ESPN sources, the much-talked-about deal is worth $13 million, along with $8 million guaranteed. The deal, reportedly, provides full ownership of music and his own record label to Ball, who raps under the name G3. Ball released the song Tweaker on January 3 on his label, Born2Ball Music Group.
The ESPN article went on to claim that Ball has a second song lined up following the debut of Tweaker.
LiAngelo Ball’s viral hit song has already recorded impressive numbers with more than seven million views on YouTube. It is also in the top 10 songs played on multiple streaming apps. It reportedly became the number three trending song on YouTube Music.
LiAngelo Ball’s Tweaker was recently praised by the NBA star and Milwaukee Bucks star point guard Damian Lillard, who has also released a couple of rap albums. As per Bleacher Report, Lillard shared a praiseworthy note for the song, during an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter after his side’s 121-105 win against the San Antonio Spurs.

LiAngelo Ball, who had attended UCLA, was unselected in the 2018 NBA draft. He could never play in an NBA regular season game. Ball had averaged 4.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 31 NBA G League games representing the Greensboro Swarm from 2021-23.
